Broken Wheat Bean Sprouts Pulao

Ingredients
Broken wheat (dalia/lapsi),soaked1 1/2 cups
Bean sprouts1 cup
Oil2 tablespoons
Bay leaves2
Cinnamon2 inch sticks
Cloves4
Black peppercorns10-12
Cumin seeds1 teaspoon
Onions,thinly sliced2 medium
Red chilli powder1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder1/4 teaspoon
Shelled green peas1/2 cup
Fresh mint leaves8-10
Ghee2 tablespoons
Fresh coriander leaves,chopped1 tablespoon
Method
Heat oil in a non stick kadai, add bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, black peppercorns and cumin seeds and sauté till fragrant. Add onions and sauté till translucent.

Drain and add dalia, with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well. Add green peas, mint leaves and mix well. Add 3 cups boiling water, cover and cook till dalia is cooked well.

Add bean sprouts and ghee and mix well.Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
